Really a great video. However, one aspect is missing; The local music scene! On any given weekend night, one can see over 40 different musical acts. I know people who have moved here JUST for the music scene.

Lived in hickory my whole life never seen that bridge with hickory on it and we aren't experiencing affordable living here in comparison to L.A I guess but it's still 900 a month for 1 bedroom and a bathroom that the door can't close on or you won't fit

We are already overwhelmed with growth over the past few years. Bloomberg and others are trying to fundamentally change the nature of our community. We have already had some anti-police lies in Nextdoor. We have a great police force that almost all long term residents support.

Hickory has made amazing improvements that are paying off big time. More and more people and businesses are attracted to the area because of them and are moving here. In 2022, U.S. News & World Report ranks this relatively small city the 3rd best place to live in NC and the 31st best in the entire U.S. (a jump of 21 places from 2021). Microsoft will be investing a BILLION $ here over the next 10 years. Thanks to the many forward thinking people who have made all this happen, and will continue to make SMART improvements to benefit the region and its citizens.

City of Hickory, I believe when you say renovate the metro I think of more buildings with wider attractions which I believe you are doing but I believe hickory is more than a small town and has a great future.

The pathway are almost done and they have started the construction with the pillars in the water for the bridge. It’s looking better than I expected. I live just a few blocks from it.
